1. Service Description

Hauss Paris is a professional matching service that connects clients (individuals and businesses) with interior designers in Paris and internationally. We curate a network of vetted, qualified designers and facilitate introductions based on client project requirements, budget, style preferences, and timeline. We do not provide interior design services directly. Our role is limited to facilitating connections between clients and independent design professionals.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under French law to use our services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Our Matching Service

When you submit a project request through our website or contact forms, we will: review your project requirements and preferences, select 2-3 interior designers from our network who match your specific criteria (based on style, budget, availability, and project type), provide you with designer profiles, portfolios, and relevant information, and facilitate the initial introduction between you and the selected designers.

The matching service is provided free of charge to clients. Any subsequent engagement with an interior designer is a separate contractual agreement between you and the designer, independent of Hauss Paris. We do not receive commissions or fees from designers for matches.

4. Designer Relationships

Hauss Paris facilitates introductions only. Once matched, any contract for interior design services is directly between you and the designer. We are not a party to this agreement and are not responsible for: the quality, timeliness, or outcome of the designer's work, pricing negotiations or payment terms, project delays or cost overruns, disputes between you and designers, or any damages arising from the designer-client relationship. All interior designers in our network are independent professionals who operate their own businesses.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to: provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about your project and requirements, communicate professionally and respectfully with matched designers, respect intellectual property rights of designers and Hauss Paris, not use our service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms, not attempt to circumvent our matching process to avoid future service fees (if implemented), and notify us promptly of any issues or concerns with matched designers.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Hauss Paris website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is owned by Hauss Paris (Hugo Betscher) or our licensors and is protected by French and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Hauss Paris provides the matching service 'as is' without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees about: the availability or quality of matched designers, successful project outcomes, designer performance or professionalism, or the suitability of any designer for your specific project.

To the fullest extent permitted by French law, Hauss Paris and Hugo Betscher shall not be liable for: the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any designer's work, disputes between you and designers, project delays, cost overruns, or quality issues, any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claims related to our service shall not exceed the amount paid to us by you (which is zero for our free matching service).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hauss Paris, Hugo Betscher, and our affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of our service, your violation of these terms, your project engagement with any designer, or any dispute between you and a matched designer.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate your access to our matching service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior, or misuse of our platform. Upon termination, your right to use our service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms or our service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Paris, France. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time by posting updated terms on this page and updating the 'Last Updated' date. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Your continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
